So we had our Women's Snowboard Cross tickets canceled for today. After seeing that they had a delay due to fog and then the results, I was ok with missing that trip. But it is frustrating to have your tickets canceled after you come all the way up here because they don't believe its safe for the fans. Would have been nice if they had thought of that earlier and prepared for it.
Todd and I decided to sleep in to recover from the chaos yesterday. Then we headed into town so he could pick up more red mittens. I grabbed two more pairs in case anyone needed any that hadn't requested them yet. Then we dropped some items off at the USOC staging area for our Nordic Director and headed back down to Seattle. Today was my day to drop Todd off at the airport and pick up Jen. We made such good time that we had time to wander around getting dinner, filling up on gas, hanging out at McDonald's, etc. Eventually it was time to do the trade off. I was a bit worried when I received a text from Jen's phone letting me know that she left her phone in Indiana. I was able to find her or rather she found me once I walked into the baggage area. We made good time back to Vancouver and now it is time for bed.
We have Cross Country sprints tomorrow! Good luck to Kikkan, Andy and Torin (plus anyone else I might have missed from the USA)!
Just received an email letting us know that standing tickets have been canceled for Halfpipe and Ski Cross. So now we don't have an event on Sunday. Hopefully our Whistler events work out. Fingers crossed! (That seems to be a permanent state these days.)
